Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Sabaenah Salim—a Chartered Psychologist with a clinical background, and a passionate mental health advocate based in London. With a deep commitment to mental wellness, I have years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including corporate professionals, students, women navigating life transitions, and the South Asian diaspora.

I hold an MS in Clinical Psychology and am a Gold Medalist and recipient of the Academic Roll of Honor in Psychology from Government College University, Lahore. My approach to therapy is rooted in cultural awareness, compassion, and scientific insight, helping individuals foster self-awareness and meaningful change.

I come from a rich cultural heritage in Lahore, Pakistan, where both my maternal and paternal grandfathers migrated from Indian Punjab after the Partition, creating a legacy of resilience and hope. As a proud Punjabi, I cherish my roots and integrate cultural wisdom into my therapeutic practice.

Beyond therapy, I’m a chai enthusiast, a lifelong learner, and a storyteller at heart. I love books, music, and tasting new food, and have a special knack for weaving and crocheting. As a modern working mother, I understand the intricate balance of personal and professional life and bring this understanding into my work. I have learned self-love from cats.

I offer therapy in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, ensuring that language is never a barrier to seeking help.

For years, I lived with phases of sleepless nights, uncontrollable crying, feeling helpless and at times even strong urges to give up. What I knew for quite a while however, was that I needed professional help to improve my quality of life. It took a lot of courage and endless failed attempts at trying to find a therapist for myself. Luckily for me, my first therapist happened to be a person I connected with almost instantly. Working with Sabaenah has not just helped me manage my anxiety, it has helped me grow as a person, and has helped me maintain healthy relationships. I am so glad to be the person I am today, with defined boundaries, someone who prioritizes herself, and is not being afraid to walk away from people and situations where she feels unvalued. What I have learnt over time is that therapy is much more than resolving trauma, it is a journey that can help you live a fuller life. For anyone considering therapy with Sabaenah, know that you will be working with a professional who knows how to maintain confidentiality while providing a safe space where you can meet all your raw, unfiltered emotions without fear of judgement.

NA

I first came to therapy during a time of real uncertainty, hoping to make sense of some difficult situations I was facing. I wasn’t entirely sure what I needed, but I knew I wanted support in navigating it all. Working with Sabaenah has been incredibly helpful—she’s created a space where I’ve felt safe to be honest, even when things felt messy or unclear. Over time, she’s adapted her approach in a way that suits how I think and process, which I’ve really appreciated. I’ve had a number of moments in our sessions where something has clicked or shifted in a meaningful way, and it’s helped me approach things differently outside of therapy. I’d say to anyone considering working with her: if you’re looking for a space where you’ll be listened to without judgement, where you can slowly sort through what’s on your mind, she’s someone you can trust.
